ICFR’s FSA-funded Information Centre Platform contributes towards the maintenance of technical forestry collections important to plantation forestry research, education, and management. This forestry library, dating back to ICFR’s inception in 1947, is perhaps the most complete and useful forestry resource in South Africa. It comprises key forestry journals, books, ‘grey literature’ reports, pamphlets, maps, and other documents (> 20 000) relevant to the forestry sector, including ICFR’s suite of technical reports. This resource is invaluable to any researcher or practicing forester and is widely used by FSA members, practicing foresters, students and academics at South African tertiary institutes, and various other stakeholders in the sector.
